About Crystal

Crystal Cotton is the President of Crystal Clear Connextions and personally develops and practices all concepts taught through her holistic workshops and seminars. With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, Staff Development and Training under her belt, Crystal is a learned voice, with valuable skills and experiences to share. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies. Crystal enhanced these disciplines with a professional certification in Corporate Training and Equal Employment Opportunity with a focus on Conflict Resolution. She is also a graduate of New York City’s elite Leadership Institute’s Management Academy, a competitive program designed for managers and administrators in City government and public service, who have demonstrated leadership ability and created positive influence in their organizations.

Always looking for opportunities to challenge her abilities, mentally, physically and spiritually, Crystal competes yearly in the Spartan Race, a boot-camp like race and obstacle course designed to bring out participants’ inner warrior. She completed a Life Change Mastery Intensive with Beyond Body Yoga in NY to improve her ability to manage change and promote transformation in herself and others.  And, most recently, Crystal completed the immersion style program, Unleash the Power Within with Anthony Robbins, where she walked on fire to manifest the ability to overcome fear and adversity. These experiences continue to provide the fuel and foundation of her work, and sparked Crystal’s composition of a self guided journal to help others master change and transformation. A Personal Journal to Change and Transformation is designed to help people conquer the fear and resistance to change that can block success and achievement of true potential.

With a focus on empowering people to see past their own existence to a place of true potential, passion and purpose, Crystal’s work is all about creating an action plan for sustainable results. Her work with small business development, led her to teach small business workshops for Project Enterprise, a NYC non-profit micro-lending organization. Her individual career coaching clients include those referred by organizations such as Abyssinian Development Corp., Dress for Success, Safe Horizons, Easter Seals of New York, and UBS Financial Services to name a few. She has also provided services to the NYS Department of Labor, Queens Public Library, the City University of New York, the NYC JayCees, Seedco and the NYC Housing Authority. In 2011 she took her passion for development and facilitation to higher education, providing career counseling and coaching at St. John’s University to a unique population of adult students with socio-economic barriers to employment. Always mapping out a career path which continues to expand her reach, in 2013 Crystal took her adult learning techniques into the classroom at Berkeley College as an Adjunct Instructor.

In addition to running a thriving business, Crystal finds time to volunteer with Dress for Success, the Mary J. Blige Center for Women and the American Cancer Society, Year Up , NY and is committed to creating donor relations for the charitable causes she supports. Crystal also  continues to work for the New York City Criminal Justice Agency, as their Human Resources Director. No matter the venue, Crystal’s services are geared towards developing the whole person, encouraging self-exploration and connecting to intention as a means to becoming more empowered, and successful in career and life endeavors.
